Originally from a small town in Saskatchewan, Mischa Kaye now lives in Toronto. She is a musician, composer, filmmaker and actor. In 2006, Mischa released her debut EP entitled Angora. The album was nominated for a Toronto Independent Music Award in 2007 in the category of “Best Pop.” That same year, she travelled to Japan and performed with Taiwanese pop singer Monica Wu in Tokyo. Mischa began singing with the Toronto-based swing band “The Maisies” in 2008, and as well with her own jazz quartet “The Elk Island Quartet”.
Mischa currently tours internationally as a jazz singer and has performed as the resident jazz vocalist at The Park Hyatt Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Palm Garden Resort in Hoi An, Vietnam, Shangri-La China World hotel in Beijing, China, Taj Lands End in Mumbai, India and Taj Palace in Delhi, India.
Mischa is a part time music student at York University studying Ashkenazi and Sephardic vocal music.
